Volume & Tone Control
A simple wheel under the handset allows you to adjust the handset volume. And three buttons on the side control you:
• Ringer volume: low / medium / high
• Tone control: When the boost function is activated, you can select your preferred sound quality in terms of bass and treble reproduction
Extra Large, Extra Loud
The amplicomms 50 Alarm Plus has two direct memory keys, an SOS key, a large, easily accessible, illuminated audio boost key and an equally large handsfree key on the phone.
For a higher call volume, even during a call, you can press the audio boost button to increase the handset volume by +40 dB. The ringtones can be set up to 90 dB.
And thanks to the extra-large, bright call light, the chances of you missing a call are low.
SOS Alarm Transmitter
As soon as the SOS button is pressed, the BigTel 50 Alarm Plus calls up to 32 pre-selected telephone numbers in succession.
A preset or personalised voice message is played. Afterwards, the hands-free mode of the telephone is automatically activated for a three-minute call.
The alarm transmitter must be within a 30-metre radius of the telephone for this, and it can be worn as a bracelet or simply as a pendant.
One-Touch Alarm Bracelet
How does it work? The SOS bracelet as well as the SOS button on the phone, is activated by a long press on the large SOS key, to automatically call up to 32 numbers you have previously selected in the phonebook.
Once the SOS key is pressed by the senior, numbers are dialled successively to alert a helper for assistance until one of them answer the call.
Standard or personalized alert voice message is played to inform the helper, then the hands-free mode of the phone is automatically activated for a three-minute conversation with the helper.
It's really reassuring to know there is a solution in case of urgent need! Nice to know: the alarm unit can be worn as a bracelet or a pendant (both systems included). The emergency bracelet must be in a 30m range of the telephone.

Boost Button for Instant Receiver Volume Increase
This BigTel 50 Plus Landline Phone has a convenient boost button (see picture below). When pressed it boosts the receiver volume to 40dB instantly.
